NYSED taking the role in school districts all across the State as a destructive, frightening fire breathing dragon

As you may have heard by now, a group of parents, in association with the folks at Class Size Matters, have taken the brave and bold step of filing suit to slay the fire breathing data dragon otherwise known as NYSED!

I haven’t had a chance to read the TRO or Memo of Law relating to the suit filed in Albany against NYSED yet, but I assure you that in a nerdy, lawyer geek sort of way….. I am VERY VERY excited to do so!

In the mean time, below is the news round up from Leonie Haimson’s blog- including links to the articles about the lawsuit filed today in NYS Court to block inBloom and protect student privacy.

Also included on Haimson’s blog are the legal papers filed with the Court and the arguments being advanced. Maybe you’re not as excited to read the legal briefs as I am, but I suggest that you peruse them when you have the time. I think you will find that the information is quite compelling.

Thanks to Leonie Haimson and the Class Size Matters Team for taking this task on! Special thanks to the plaintiffs in this suit….its not lost on me that they stuck their necks out there and filed this action not only on behalf of their own children, but for all our children in NYS!!! THANK YOU!!!!

Enjoy!
