TERMS OF PARTICIPATION AND USE:

HVACC is a nonpartisan advocacy organization of parents, educators, officials and community members spanning a number of school districts in the Hudson Valley. The organization seeks to challenge flawed educational policies including, but not limited to, CCSS, APPR, HST and the P-20 data repository plan InBloom and advocates for sound basic education, developmentally appropriate and engaging educational policies and curriculum for students and teachers with an emphasis on advocating for needs of schools located outside of the “Big 5” (HV).

Although we may have political views, we are not a “political” organization, we are an advocacy group. We embrace all members who wish to advocate against flawed edu policies.

While we try to respect each and every member’s viewpoints. We ask that you feel free to express an opinion but please do make an effort to be aware that not all of our members will share your viewpoint and some may be offended by what you say. Please bear that in mind when issuing comments/posts and try to be respectful of others.

We believe communication is key to successful educational policy. We hope to engage in open dialogue to facilitate legislative activism, review of policy, education and grassroots advocacy. HVACC welcomes all educational dialog, and hopes to bring about an end to common core, with some thoughtful discussion on what will come next. Your Boards of Ed, and politicians need to hear from us on an appropriate education for our children.
